Please realize that many are often worse off in life, yet
sometimes there are certain thoughts and feelings... they may not be deserved, but they may be validated -- here.

i just want to be good. i just want to be kind. i just want to be right...
but really never can be.
i cannot accept this, what i am. because i know truths hidden somewhere within.
never good enough. never enough.
too ridden with blemishes

e: i'm going to make a livejournal community for people who hate themselves. can you think of a name?
R: For people who hate themselves?
. . .
e: yes
R: I'd call it space-travelers, in reference to Walker Percy . . .
R: He referred to all humans as "lost in the cosmos" and as space travelers.

R: Hatred strikes me as one of the few signs of life remaining in the world. This is another thing about the world which is upsidedown: all the friendly and likable people seem dead to me; only the haters seem alive.

R: ... Percy's theory is basically this: All science and all things we do are directed not at telling us who we are as people, but what is going on around us, simply because we're afraid to confront what it means to be human.

R: Now, the people that buy into preconceived notions are the ones who are the "friendly" people. Dig? The ones who say, I'm a sorority girl, I'm an XYZ.
R: So, in effect, by hating the labels that you are in an effort to describe yourself better to others, you *hate* yourself, but carve a deeper and more meaningful life experience.

please realize this is not just self bashing. everyone has insecurities. and low points.
what are yours?
